When Skye was little, I taught her many things.  Catching and bringing back a frisbee, jumping over park benches, sniffing out a tennis ball in the tall grass.

But there was one trick that has made her into one cool collie.

I taught her to go and lie down in the shade.

And in this record heat wave where the grass has become golden and crispy, finding the shade is of utmost importance.  Even it means the ball game has to take a break.
